Titans 18AAA Crowned NAPHL Champions

2009-2010 NAPHL 18U Champions

Titans win championship 5-4 in a shootout

Congratulations to the Titans Midget 18AAA team, as they were crowned champions of the inaugural North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) Championship Tournament Series on February 15th in San Jose, California. The championship culminated an outstanding league season in which the Titans also won the 18U regular-season title. However, it didn't come easy in the championship game against Omaha AAA Hockey. Mateja Leko, Gabriel Levin, Christopher Guidotti, and Matthew Sanford each tallied goals for the Titans, with Sanford's game-tying goal coming with just 5 seconds remaining in regulation. The Titans pulled out the victory in a shootout 5-4, with Alec Hajdukovich and Robert Murphy connecting for shootout goals. Gordon Ceasar was outstanding in net, stopping 58 shots in regulation and shutting down all four Omaha shooters in the shootout.
The California Titans congratulate our alumni who have continued on to pursue their scholastic and athletic endeavors.
