| Titans 18AAA Tied for Lead in NAPHL |

On the strength of a perfect 4-0-0 record in San Jose, the Titans 18AAA team jumped atop the NAPHL standings. They are now tied for the lead with the Pittsburgh Viper Stars and Lansing Capitals, each sporting 7-1-1 records. The next NAPHL event will be held Dec. 2-4 in Darien, Illinois.

| 2011 Walk to End Alzheimer's |

The Titans 16AA team took to the streets of Thousand Oaks on Saturday, Oct. 29th, particpating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and is responsible for generating over 80% of the total annual funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. | Titans 16AA - First Place in CAHA |

The first CAHA weekend of the 2011 season was held this past weekend, with the Titans 16AA team off to an impressive start with a stellar 4-0 record. Scoring 21 goals and only giving up 3, the Titans showed they are one of the top California teams and are ready to challenge for the CAHA title. They currently sit atop the standings, tied with the California Wave (1) and OC Hockey (1).

Congratulations to Alex Koopmeiners, who was selected today by the expansion Minot Minotauros in the second round (30th overall) of the 2011 North American Hockey League (NAHL) Entry Draft. Alex played for the Titans 18AAA team for the 2010-11 season and was one of eight North American Prospects Hockey League (PHL) players drafted today. | Peter Torsson Joins Titans |

The California Titans are proud to announce the addition of Peter Torsson to their Organization. Peter will be in charge of player development and overall skill development throughout the entire Titan and Mariner hockey organization. Along with that important responsibility, he will be involved in coaching several teams which will be announced in the coming weeks.
"I have known Peter for several years now and have admired his work ethic, knowledge of the game and individual skill development, and his commitment to the game of hockey," said Scott Yorkison, Director of Hockey. "This addition is an important step for us in where this organization is going. We feel we have built a strong base here and now adding Peter to our coaching staff, we know we can offer some of the best coaching in California for all divisions."
Next week, the Titans will announce their Tier I and Tier II coaching lineup for next season.

| Pelone Wins Skills Competition |

Corey Pelone of the Titans 16AA team has been named the 2010-2011 L.A. Kings Skills Champion in the 16U Division for speed, accuracy and hardest shot. The finals were held at Staples Center January 8th during the intermission of the Kings and Blue Jackets hockey game. After several preliminary competions during the past couple of months, Corey advanced to the final round and came home with the 1st place prize! The Titans and Mariners join with the Los Angeles Kings in congratulating Corey on his accomplishment.

| Copley - NAHL Goaltender of the Month |

Pheonix Copley, who played last season for the Titans 18AAA team, was named the NAHL/SBK Hockey Goaltender of the Month for November. Copley, an 18-year old from North Pole, Alaska, posted a 4-3-0 record to compliment a 2.56 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage for the Corpus Christi IceRays during the month.
"Cops really came into his own in November," said Corpus Christi head coach Brent Hughes. "He was the backbone of our team for the entire month and really came up big when we needed him." (view entire article)

| Hajdukovich - NAHL Player of the Week |

Former Titans 18AAA player, Alec Hajdukovich, unleashed for four goals and three assists for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in a three-game sweep over Dawson Creek, earning Alec NAHL Player of the Week honors. The Fairbanks native potted a pair of goals in the first game, including the game-winner, in a 10-4 triumph. In the third game, the 19-year-old notched two more goals, including another game-winner, and an assist as the Ice Dogs doubled up the Rage on Saturday, 6-3. He was also a plus-3 for the weekend.
“Alex has a knack for finishing and it was a matter of time before he got rolling,” said Ice Dogs head coach Josh Hauge. "He’s been working extremely hard and spending extra time after practice with our staff, so I’m really happy for him."

The Titans 18AAA team wrapped up the season with the Pacific District Championships in San Jose. They finished pool play as the top team, beating the Alaska All Stars 4 to 1, the Nevada Stars 5 to 4, and the L.A. Jr. Kings 1 to 0 in a thrilling shootout. However, the Titans came up short in the semi-finals, bringing their remarkable season to an end. The 18AAA team finishes the season with a stellar record of 39 wins, 9 losses, and 4 ties.

Congratulations to the following players who have signed tenders to play for NAHL teams in the 2010-2011 season. Gabriel Levin and Alec Hajdukovich signed tenders with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs, Josh Batch with the Motor City Metal Jackets, Gordon Ceasar with the Kenai River Brown Bears, Bobby Murphy with the Wenatchee Wild, and Christopher Guidotti and Matt Sanford with the Aberdeen Wings. All seven players played this past season for the Titans 18AAA team.

| Titans Win NAPHL Regular-Season Title |

The Titans Midget 18AAA team was crowned the NAPHL regular-season division champion, finishing the regular season with a record of 17-3. They will hold the number one seed in the NAPHL Championship Tournament series, which will be held at Sharks Ice in San Jose beginning February 12th through 15th.

The Titans 18AAA team moved into a tie with the LA Jr. Kings for first place in the CAHA state standings. The Titans beat the Jr. Kings with back-to-back wins (3-2 and 5-2) over the Thanksgiving weekend to move atop the standings.

| Block Commits to Univ. of New Hampshire |

Austin Block could not be happier that he chose the Titans to play AAA hockey in the 2006-07 season. After leading the team to a Regional appearance, Block went on to play Juniors with the NAHL Fairbanks Ice Dogs. After getting his feet wet last season, Block led the league in scoring this season and was voted the NAHL Offensive Player of the Year. Block’s performance in the NAHL earned him several Division 1 scholarship offers, with Block committing to the University of New Hampshire for the 2009-10 season.

| Driscoll drafted by USHL and Listed in WHL |

Ciaron Driscoll had a whirlwind 2009, as one of the Titans top defenseman this season. At the conclusion of the season, the Titans organization arranged for Driscoll to practice with the WHL Calgary Hitmen, where the Hitmen "listed" him after the first day of practice. This week Driscoll found himself the USHL's 80th draft pick by the Des Moines Buccaneers.

For the 2009-2010 season, Scott Yorkison, Titans Director of Hockey Operations, will return to the 18AAA bench as Head Coach along with Luc Beausoleil. Yorkison and Beausoleil coached the 2006-2007 inaugural Titans 18AAA team to a regional playoff appearance, moving several players to Junior programs, including former Titan Austin Block, who led the NAHL in scoring during the 2008-2009 season and is up for Player of the Year honors. Beausoleil went on to coach the Titans 18AAA team in 2007-2008, while Yorkison focused on Hockey Operations for the Titans from 2007 to 2009.

| Ryan Marvin to Coach in Frozen Four |

Ryan Marvin, son of Titan/Mariner coach Jim Marvin, will be coaching this week as Graduate Assistant Coach for the Bemidji State University (Beavers) Men's Division I Ice Hockey Team at the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championships (Frozen Four) in Washington D.C. Ryan played locally for many seasons, and over the years has volunteered his time to run practices, skills sessions and off-ice training when he was back in our area, and has been available to our players and our club as a whole. Ryan is earning his Masters degree at Bemidji State University.

On September, 29th, 2008, Hockey Canada announced its coaching staffs for a pair of upcoming National Men’s Team events, the 2008 Deutschland Cup and the 2008 Spengler Cup. Titans PeeWee AA Coach Russ Courtnall has been named Assistant Coach along with Serge Pelletier to Head Coach Sean Simpson (Brampton, ON) and will lead Canada at the 2008 Spengler Cup, to be held December 26-31, 2008 in Davos, Switzerland.
